About The Cambodia Academy
For children born into poverty in rural Cambodia, education is often the one path that can change the course of an entire life.
Many of our students come from farming families who struggle to afford school supplies, transportation, and daily meals. In rural Cambodia, even small school-related costs can place a heavy burden on families already living on very limited incomes.
When resources are scarce, parents often face difficult choices, and children may be expected to help in the fields, care for younger siblings, or contribute to the family’s income. Without support, many of these students are at constant risk of leaving school early to work in agriculture, construction, or migrate for low-wage labor, cutting short their education and limiting their future opportunities.
The Cambodia Academy exists to change that trajectory.

Our Mission
We provide education and hope to children in Cambodia's rural Banteay Meanchey province.
Where We Are Located
Our campus is in rural Mongkol Borei. Our headquarters is in Burlingame, CA and our administrative center is in Clearwater, FL.
What We Provide
We offer Khmer and English education for 375 students in grades 1-9; books and supplies; uniforms; meals; bus service; special events; vaccinations and medical support.
We Support a 36-Person Team
Our paid staff totals 36, including faculty, a principal, vice principal, maintenance, drivers, and a food service team.
We Were Founded in 2004
We have more than 22 years of successful operations and growth in rural Cambodia. Our school is copmletely free of charge to students and their families.
We Started as a Rotary Project
We are a 501c3 nonprofit charity supported by Rotary clubs around the world and individual donors like you.
Providing Education and Hope
We provide high-quality education, daily nutrition, and a safe, supportive learning environment for children who would otherwise have very limited opportunities. But what we are really providing is something deeper: stability, confidence, and the belief that their future can be different from their past.
